Tristan stormed back down the streets of the city and her green jacket brushed past peoples shoulders. It seemed that every single person she passed turned their heads at awkward angles just to get a view. She had a muzzled type mouth and it was purple, with pink running along the bottom jaw. She had a crystal on the back of each hand and the green jacket she wore was big on her. She sprinted past several buildings and she stood at the door of the jewelry store. Her eyes were red with rage and she punched the door open.
The man that Tristan had payed had his head laid against the counter. There was a large pool of drool along the counter. “So, you paid this bozo to sleep in my store…?” said the cashier without looking up.
“How the hell do I undo it?!” Tristan shouted as he approached the counter.
“Undo what?” She asked, she sounded annoyed and pecked at her iPod. Tristan sighed and walked over to the man she had payed.
“You can go now.” said Tristan as she grabbed the man’s shoulder. He looked up and his terrified look proved that he would not be making any argument. He quickly wiped the drool off his face and rushed out of the store.
As soon as he was out of the building, the cashier picked up a small remote off of a shelf behind her. She pressed a large red button and the doors locked into place. The windows turned black from the inside and there was no way to see in or out. “You just had to wear it, didn’t you?” She set her iPod down without looking up and she grabbed a small tranquilizer gun. She slipped it into her pants, then looked at Tristan in the eye. “I told you that you would look girly in it.” The cashier chuckled and Tristan’s sudden step forward caused the cashier to grab the tranquilizer gun.
“How do I change back?” Tristan growled, her female voice making it very hard for her to sound tough at all.
“Calm down. And listen to me good. If you try and make a move at all, I’ll put this tranquilizer dart right between your eyes, ya hear me.” said the cashier. She sounded justified, as if she’d had this conversation before. That worried Tristan.
“You didn’t answer my question.” pointed out Tristan, slightly backing off.
“There is no changing back. I told you not to put the damn thing on, and that’s that.” She seemed content as she grabbed the tranquilizer gun in her left hand. And she didn’t seem scared at how Tristan looked. “This is normally when one of you idiots try to attack me or something. Seeing as you’re a Lucario and all, I’d expect it.”
Tristan face grew redder--or more of a darker purple color and she brought back her fist. “You’re telling me...that I’m like this...permanently?” Tristan’s voice grew more wobbly.
“Yup. Pretty much. Whatcha gonna do li’l lady?” The cashier smirked. “Now, follow me this way.” The cashier pushed a button and the entire jewelry shelf in the back shifted over like four feet, revealing a large doorway.
“Where are we going?” asked Tristan. She could barely breathe knowing she would be like this forever.
“The headquarters. That’s where we make all the jewelry. Different pokemon can use different ores. The one that turned you was a crystal ore, specially made by Arbok. I’m not quite sure what a Lucario’s is though.”
“So...would this have happened to my girlfriend…?” Tristan realized how funny it must appear to the cashier.
“Nope, this only happens to the males that put on the jewelry. Everyone you see down there is some dude with the same story as you.” The cashier led Tristan down several stairs and into a small, dim-lighted hallway.
“How much do I get payed?” asked Tristan bluntly.
“Well, you get free food, free shelter, AND I don’t turn you into animal control. How’s that sound Tristy?”
Tristan decided it wasn’t worth her time to reply. She walked into the large white room and looked around her, amazed at all the pokemon that surrounded her. She saw a little Riolu and even a caterpie slithering on the floor. “Whoah…” Tristan was at a loss for words. She followed the cashier to a large computer at the center of the room.
“Alright stand there…” said the cashier. She forced Tristan to sit on a small white chair. “Put your hand up to the scanner.” Tristan put her hand up to the scanner and a small red light engulfed her body.
“Member awaiting access.” Spoke a very computer like voice over the intercom. “Data being received. Dada received. Type is Lucario. Name is Tristan. Nickname?” Tristan was confused with the last comment over the intercom and the cashier walked over to the screen. She typed into a box very quickly then walked back. “Nickname is Tristy.” Tristan got an angry look on her face then she turned to the cashier.
“Why did you do that?” Tristan seemed aggravated.
“Pay attention.” snapped the cashier.
The intercom spoke again “Ore is Heart Crystal. Rarity is extreme rare. Price per ounce is 75,000$.” All of the pokemon’s heads turned toward Tristan.
All of their looks were a mixture of awe and pride. Suddenly a purple and black Ampharos walked up. “Welcome Tristy.” The Ampharos held out her hand. As they touched hands a spark of jealousy appeared in Ampharos’ eyes. “Welcome indeed…”
